Jim Stice, President, CEO
and Director, is a founder of the
Company and currently serves as chief executive office. Mr. Stice also
co–founded and served in various executive positions, including
President, of FlexMedics Corporation, a medical device company. FlexMedics
became a leading designer and manufacturer of medical devices using Nitinol,
a shape memory alloy. Proprietary and custom product development, including
FDA approval, was undertaken with device firms and physicians as customers.
Mr. Stice was Chairman of Medical Alley in 1994, a non–profit trade
organization representing manufacturers, providers and payers.
Rick Odland M.D., Ph.D.,
Medical Director and Director, is
a founder of the Company and also is a part–time employee of
the Company. Dr. Odland is a staff surgeon at Hennepin County Medical
Center, and Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology
at the University of Minnesota. He is the inventor of the Company technology,
and has published papers on the technology. Dr. Odland received his
M.D. from Creighton University in 1981 and his Ph.D. from the University
of Minnesota in 1990.
Scott Wilson, Director of Product Development, has over 17 years engineering experience with 12 years in the medical device industry in both engineering and management roles. Prior to joining Twin Star, Mr. Wilson was Director of Product Development/Operations at SpectraScience, Inc., an early stage company developing a device for cancer detection, and most recently he was Principal Engineer at Heart Leaflet Technologies, a start–up medical device company. Mr. Wilson has a Mechanical Engineering degree from North Dakota State University.
Janelle Antil, Director
of Clinical Affairs, is
a full time employee and has over 16 years of clinical study management
experience in the medical device industry. Prior to joining Twin
Star, Ms. Antil was a Clinical Study Manager at Medtronic, Inc. She
has spent 12 years managing clinical trials in the area of heart failure
and most recently in the field of gastroenterology and urology. Ms.
Antil has a Bachelor of Individualized Study (BIS) from Metropolitan
State University and an additional degree/certification as a Veterinary
Technician. |
